Seris Guide: The Rework Most Players Missed
Seris, Oracle of the Abyss, is the most played support in Paladins — #3 overall in our pick-rate analysis of all 58 champions. A heal that works through walls, an escape that ignores everything, and a stun built into her weapon cycle: no support forgives mistakes like she does.
One critical warning: Seris was rebuilt in the game’s final year. Patch 7.4 (July 2024) deleted her legendary Mortal Reach and Agony talents; patch 7.7 (December 2024) folded Soul Collector into her base kit and added Resuscitate. Nearly every Seris guide on the internet — including major build sites — describes a champion that no longer exists. Everything below reflects the final patch.
Pick a talent below for its loadout, items, and playstyle. All three are new-generation talents, and for once there is no statistics crutch: even PaladinsGuru never mapped them, so the recommendations follow the developers’ stated intent and post-rework community testing.
Slow-moving piercing projectiles (14 ammo, effective to 300 units) that also apply a Soul Orb stack per hit, up to 4 per target. No headshots — her damage game is stacks, not aim duels.
Channel a heal onto an ally at 200 units — and everyone within 50 units of them heals 1000 too. Line of sight is only needed to start: you can duck behind a wall mid-channel. You cannot shoot while channeling.
Detonates all Soul Orb stacks: 100 damage each, and targets carrying 4 stacks are stunned for a full second. Every detonated stack also feeds Soul Collector — healing you and growing your permanent buff.
Phase out of reality: immune to all damage and effects, cleansed of every debuff, ammo refilled — and you see stealthed enemies while phased. Her only escape, so spend it like it is the last one.
Throw your soul core (it bounces off walls, and can be detonated mid-air by refiring): 0.5s after landing it drags up to 5 enemies within 60 units into a 1.4s stun. The pull is blocked by shields — never throw it into a raised Fernando.
Restore Soul heals its full 1650 over 0.5s instead of 1.5s, at a 2.5s cooldown. The ranked pick and the successor to the removed Mortal Reach: an instant answer to burst damage that slow heals cannot match. (No reliable stats exist for the 2024 talents — even PaladinsGuru has not mapped them.)
The highest-winrate Seris loadout in recorded ranked matches (55% on PaladinsGuru): a wider splash heal plus a Shadow Travel that comes back almost every fight.
- Hold the heal for the burst window, not the chip damage — 1650 in half a second undoes an assassin’s combo.
- Start the channel in line of sight, then step behind cover: the heal keeps flowing while you are safe.
- Aim the splash: healing the frontliner also heals everyone hugging them — position your target, not just your beam.
- Shadow Travel is your peel button too — phase, body-block sightlines, and force divers to waste cooldowns on an immune target.
Soul Collector grants 2% per stack instead of 1.5% — at 16 stacks you carry +32% max health and weapon damage, permanently until death. The casual favorite: a support that slowly turns into a second damage dealer.
The second most-played Seris loadout in ranked data — a damage-Seris orb cycle that keeps her fast, loaded, and charging Convergence.
- Farm stacks off the tank fight: pierce hits two enemies, Rend Soul cashes them into permanent power.
- At full stacks you hold 2900+ health and 270-damage orbs — a legitimate second damage source.
- The math still says heal first: dead teammates do not care about your weapon buff.
- Best in casual queues and solo play; coordinated enemies will not let you stack for free.
Detonating a full 4-stack Rend Soul reveals the target and makes them take 20% increased damage for 3s — on top of the base 1s stun. A coordination talent: a stunned, revealed, amplified target dies to any teammate paying attention.
Built to fire the 4-stack combo as often as possible — Wickedness at maximum keeps the stun-and-amp window on a ~5s rotation.
- Call the combo: “stun on the tank” with +20% damage amp deletes front lines in coordinated play.
- Stack discipline matters — orbs on four different enemies is zero combos; four on one target is a kill window.
- Amp before your team’s ult, not after: Convergence into a marked, amplified cluster ends team fights.
- In uncoordinated lobbies this talent quietly does nothing — swap to Forsake if nobody follows your stuns.
Her weaknesses are structural: she cannot shoot while healing, her orbs travel slowly, and one 12-second cooldown is her entire escape plan. Long-range hitscan pokes her out, and disciplined divers simply count her Shadow Travel. See where Seris sits in our tier list →
// COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Is Seris good in 2026?
Our community-consensus tier list says C-tier: “easiest support in the game — fine for casual, punished in ranked”. And yet she out-picks every other support in the game. That makes her the third case in a pattern — Tyra (#1) and Viktor (#2) are also B/C-tier: the most played champions in Paladins are the reliable ones, not the strongest ones.
Her ranked weaknesses are real: no anti-heal pressure, slow projectiles, and an ultimate blocked by shields. But the 7.7 rework quietly buffed her floor — the Soul Collector passive now scales her all game, and burst-heal Forsake answers dive comps better than her old kit ever did.
Is Seris good for beginners?
She is the best first support in Paladins, flagged ✦ beginner-friendly in our tier list — and it is not close. Her heal locks onto the target and keeps working when you break line of sight; her escape makes her immune to everything while cleansing every debuff; her stun comes from simply landing weapon shots.
Every other support asks you to master something — Ying’s illusions, Damba’s reload, Furia’s beam aim. Seris asks you to learn support decision-making itself: who to heal, when to fall back, where to stand. Those skills transfer to the entire role.
FAQ
What is the best Seris talent?
Forsake for ranked — it compresses her full 1650 heal into half a second, the only real answer to burst damage. Resuscitate is the casual pick that scales her into a second damage dealer, and Internal Torment is a coordination talent for premades.
Did Seris get reworked?
Yes — twice in the game’s final year. Patch 7.4 (July 2024) replaced the Mortal Reach and Agony talents with Forsake and Internal Torment, and patch 7.7 (December 2024) made Soul Collector part of her base kit with the new Resuscitate talent. Most older guides predate both changes.
How do you counter Seris?
Poke her from range — Lian, Willo, and Androxus are her hardest counters by community vote. Her orbs are slow, she cannot shoot while healing, and her only escape is on a 12-second cooldown. Willo’s Dead Zone shuts off her healing completely.
