Unlocked once by reaching account level 30 during the Paladins beta. The reward ran from April 2017 until Update 1.1 in June 2018 and has never been sold or offered since.
Volcanic Makoa
Volcanic Makoa was released on April 5, 2017 as a loyalty reward for beta players: hit account level 30 and the collection — molten body skin plus the Volcanic Crag Cannon — was yours forever. The offer stayed live until Update 1.1 on June 6, 2018, a month after the game’s full launch.
Visually it is one of the most striking tank skins in Paladins: blackened shell split by glowing magma veins, with a cannon to match. In a lobby it reads as instant seniority.
Grinding to level 30 took real hours, so the skin has always doubled as a marker of true early adopters — accounts that were already playing in the beta era.
How rare is Volcanic Makoa?
The unlock window closed with Update 1.1 in June 2018, freezing the pool of owners. The wiki lists the collection as Limited — the tier Hi-Rez uses for one-time rewards — and its condition, beta progression, no longer exists, so there is no way to earn it again.
That makes Volcanic Makoa structurally rarer than most Limited skins: the acquisition path itself is gone from the game.
Can you still get Volcanic Makoa in 2026?
No. The level-30 beta reward ended in June 2018 and the original collection has not been offered since. In December 2024 Hi-Rez released two recolors — Makilla Makoa in an event pass and Shikoa in the store — but they are different skins. The only supply of the original is accounts that reached level 30 during the beta, which our catalog carries regularly — check the stock button below.

FAQ
How was Volcanic Makoa obtained?
By reaching account level 30 during the Paladins beta. The reward launched on April 5, 2017 and was removed with Update 1.1 in June 2018; the collection has not been offered since.
Is Volcanic Makoa rarer than other Limited skins?
Harder to get than many: the beta progression that unlocked it no longer exists, and while battle-pass Limiteds have come back as Limited Skin Token picks since 2023, the original Volcanic collection never has.
What does the Volcanic Makoa collection include?
The Volcanic body skin for Makoa and the Volcanic Crag Cannon weapon skin.
